Rap on Rap

I find it interesting that in this article, Rap on Rap: The Black Music That Isn't Either, that the way that the author looks at rap music, he doesn't see it as for blacks or as music. The author makes the point that rap music has been misunderstood and seen possibly in the wrong way by white listeners. He says that rap music has changed over time in the way it sounds. It has taken many different forms from the type of people rapping to the type of lyrics to the appropriateness of the way it sounds. The people listening to the music has also changed over time. Whites used to be very against this type of music, while recently they have adapted to it. Many white people try to adapt to the music by maybe dressing in baggy clothing, dressing like a wigger, a term used to categorize that type of clothing for whites.
